Description[?]:
A few days ago at 7:36 PM, forces of the Soul & Spirit rebellion responded to the offensive in Adubura by the forces of Mordusia by pushing from northeastern Talasor to meet up with forces from the landings of Lourenne in southeast Hosmania. False intelligence reports and over-cockiness of those leading the offensive in Adubura caused the encirclement to succeed without much resistance. Once it became clear that the encirclement could no longer be avoided as troops from the joint forces of Lourenne and the rebellion began pushing south, the bold decision to push into Talasor was made, and a majority of the 200,000 troops and tanks pushed against the defenses. The defenses were rudimentary at best, but still somewhat effective. But not good enough to hold back the forces of the Republic of Mordusia. At 10:08 AM the following morning, a breakthrough was made. Casualties were similar on both sides, as the Republican forces lacked the incredible numerical superiority and civilian support they had in Adubura. Casualties are around 19,600 for the joint rebellion forces and 21,000 for the Republican forces. The forces are continuing to move into Talasor slowly, meeting heavy resistance. Several civilian militias have been noted in key cities, aligning themselves with or against the rebellion. We will keep you updated. -Oliver Meyers |
