In accordance with section 6 of the Game Rules (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8088 - Server time: 19:29:15, August 21, 2018 CET), Telamon is a "culturally protected" nation. Below is the cultural protocol by which all players in the nation must abide. Throughout the document, the real-life equivalent is shown in brackets next to the in-game name.

--OVERVIEW--

The dominant ethno-linguistic group in Telamon are the Skjöld (Icelander) people, who migrated to the continent during the first millennium CE. The Skjöld are an Altfolk (Scandinavian) ethnic group. Minority populations in Telamon include the Doyingars (Faroe Islander), who are centred on the island of Migadon, and the Laamits (Sami), related to the Sullestian (Finnish) people.

--NAMES--

Names of candidates and RP-characters should reflect the ethnic make-up of the nation as defined above. Exceptions require substantial RP-justification.

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context.
