MessageMr. Speaker

With the greatest of respect to the Honourable Minister of Health & Social Services we would have liked longer to actually debate the merits of this Bill before it was pushed forward.

I can promise that our caucus does support this, but I can lot speak on behalf of the rest of the government.

MessageMr Speaker

The Liberal Nationals cannot support this bill. We believe the risk to personal health as well as the wellbeing of others in the community is paramount, and this bill poses to great of risk to destabilising community safety. Just because the drug is naturally occuring does not indicate it is any less harmful than a synthetic drug. We believe the current law as it stands is adequate.
