Bill: Health Care Reform Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Republican Party - Democrats

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 4451

Description[?]:

We propose reforming the Health Care system through the encouragement of establishing private practices. We believe that allowing greater freedom for private health care provision expands the availability of resources for health care provision, frees up resources to spend on poorer citizens and allows for great investment in infrastructure and research. Therefore it is a win win situation.

MessageWe oppose this legislation - the best thing we can give to poorer citizens of Baltusia is health care, and we do not want any backsliding in our government's commitment to the people on this.

MessageWhere is the backsliding? Allowing an extra role for the private sector increases health care provision. Incidentally if more people opt for private care but government spending remains at the same level this means more money will be available per person within the state health care system. Like I said, win-win.

MessageThe interests of the public would be best served if health care was provided by the market as opposed to the government
