This previous UBWP State Council possessed the second most women, with 8 women in a Council of 13 positions. Most of the State Council is composed of ultra-radical socialists as a result of the party revamp by Furgenster and Marceli. In Sousa's frontbench, the gender composition remains the same and old faces have been removed from front bench, ushering in new, fresher faces, part of the vision that Marceli said the UBWP desperately needed. Many of these names are unknown to the public, although there are few figures who are part of established political dynasties, but have shunned their connections to adopt a more anti-establishment position Here is the new State Council:

Head of Government: Dr Julius Furgenster IX (left-wing populist)
Foreign Affairs: Millaray Beitris McDonald (democratic socialist, socialist feminist)
Internal Affairs: Dr Jane Davidson (radical democratic socialist)
Finance: Dr Janus Hartmann VI (radical democratic socialist, market socialist)
Defence:Dr Rebecca Grazia Durnin (radical democratic socialist)
Justice: Dr Ariadne Erika Ó Cuinn (democratic socialist)
Infrastructure and Transport: Dr Tim Ábel Henning III (social democratic)
Health and Social Services: Dr Renata Giacinta O'Callaghan (left-wing populist)
Education and Culture: Professor Caolán Carey Mac Gilleain (social democratic)
Science and Technology: Professor Uilleag Cezar Bonaccorsi (scientific socialist)
Food and Agriculture: Dr Desideria Pomona Grillo (radical agrarian socialist, eco-socialist)
Environment and Tourism: Dr Grania Elda Piccoli (agrarian socialist, eco-socialist)
Trade and Industry: Professor Iokaste Aurora Madigan (ethical socialist, guild socialist, market socialist, syndicalist)

The UBWP State Council, as expected has gone through a major revamp, with many old members replaced off the Council completely. The new Council has not changed in terms of gender, although it has changed significantly amongst ideology with all 13 members on the more moderate wing of the UBWP and the addition of left wing populists to democratic socialists . This is seen as a move by Ms Sousa to attract those that have been disillusioned with the party to boost success in future elections and to build a movement for all, not just the ideological base of her party. The State Council is 8 female, 5 male, with no change under the Marceli leadership. There were accusations of gender bias, but Sousa defended his move, saying: "This is not gender biased in any way. I am not gender biased in any way either. In fact, I love all genders. Having a more female Council will ensure that women are empowered once and for all, and are no longer treated poorly by men through denigration as sexual objects or toy dolls that they can play with." The most significant change in the State Council is the replacement of many experienced faces to the back-benches with those that are unknown to the voting public and have little political experience . Many have criticised the move, saying that Ms Sousa is setting up the party to fail and that she is trying to silence potential opponents in future leadership races, showing an authoritarian side to her personality. Ms Sousa said: "Professor Marceli called for a newer, fresher leadership and apologised for the alienation and polarisation that his aggressive and militant State Council contributed to the current political environment. Do you not think that it is time for newer, younger ideas that will be able to attract not just those within our ideological base, but of all those that are disillusioned with the unfair system that we live in that runs on the basis of exploitation? Do you not think that those that have made the UBWP what it is today, a strong left wing party that fights for equality for all, deserves a peaceful retirement from the front benches after all the blood, toil and sweat they put in?" Despite some of the controversy surrounding this State Council, many political commentators have said that Sousa's team is the best thought out Council in the history of the UBWP, more advanced and reformist than previous ones. Professor James J Vajuradkis, Professor of Politics and International Relations at the University of Fort Thorne said: "Ms Sousa has shown her commitment to real change and is truly a politician for the people. Previous UBWP leaders have also shown their commitment to this, but their front benches all seemed to have been formed on the basis of ideological purposes and pleasing their support base instead of the basis of big-tent politics, which is what many nations on Terra need. There is no more left v right wing politics. People are becoming more anti-establishment and pro-populist and they wish for big-tent politics, which can prevent ideological wars and appease everyone. The UBWP under Sousa's leadership is the first such leadership team in the UBWP and in Beluzia to do that. There were no social democrats or liberal socialists or scientific socialists or left wing populists in previous UBWP State Councils. Sousa should be praised and idolised for being the one person that has truly ushered in a new era in Beluzian politics, one that truly encompasses everyone, not just the support base of the main ideology of the party."
