| Luca Mori, AR: "Mr Speaker, endangered animals cannot be taken as pets and it is ridicolous that an "endangered" species could be used in this way saying that the Government acts to avoid extinction. This is a way just to maintain such species in danger. The only way to assure the survival of such species and so that they will be no anymore endangered, it's to ban anyone to keep such animals except zoological and biological institutions established to takecare of such species and follow the process of repopulation." |

Old value:: Everyone may keep endangered animals, but the trade in, and the ownership of, endangered animals is strictly regulated by the government to prevent their extinction in the wild.

| Message | Othman Kassis, PND Whip, Private, benevolent individuals can be a great aid to said institutions which simply may not be able to sustain all endangered animals. We think these wonderful creatures are better off in private hands than in the hands of illegal hunters who primarily would profit from such a ban. |
