Message | “The NCP and Liberty Parties want to end the minimum wage?!?! That would put employees at risk, employers would no longer be forced to actually pay their employees enough to survive. I am disgusted that these parties are willing to help their business owning allies over the hard working citizens of Beluzia!” Roberto Schneider IV United Party Congressional Leader |

Message | Minimum wage hurts business, which in the long run hurts their employees. If our minimum wage is higher than that of a neighboring country, why would the business not outsource jobs to that country? When I talk about wanting to remove the minimum wage, it is because I want to keeps jobs here, not because I don’t care about the poorest beluzians. We must stay competitive in international markets, to keep jobs here in Beluzia, sometimes that may mean getting rid of, or reducing the minimum wage and scaling back regulations. You communists may not like the means to get there, but it provides more stability in the long run if we stay competitive in international markets, instead of just throwing money at things to create fake growth. |

Message | “Lowering the minimum wage and eliminating it do two entirely different things, one makes it so businesses don’t have has high a minimum wage, the other makes it so businesses can pay you a dollar for a weeks work. It doesn’t help employees it puts their salaries at risk don’t lie to the Beluzian people and claim its communism to want to make sure citizens are paid enough to live.” |

Message | Caryl Ayers (L-Liberty) Mr Speaker...the very idea that companies should to be "forced" to pay employees some arbitrary figure or else the workers won't "survive" speaks volumes about the far-left notion that anyone who operates a business is automatically a "rich", greedy, stingy, grasping person who is just desperate to pay people bel 0.01 an hour in slave like workhouse conditions. It explains why they cling so bitterly to the idea that only government can provide salvation from employment ills by insisting for example that; "all businesses to be run by Democratic Workers' Councils." We urge the United Party to show more confidence in our business sector and open up the markets and let companies run their businesses as they see fit. |
