MessageWe will support 17, but not 18. 17 would allow the vast majority of people to stop their education once they have finished high school, which seems like a reasonable time to make things voluntary.

A well-educated populace is a boon to any nation, but like all good things, it must be taken in moderation. If everyone has a college education, then the wages for college graduates will go down, discouraging people from working hard in school. In the long run, this is likely to hurt our nation more than it will help it.

MessageOur age of majority is 16, as well. Adults are full citizens with the freedoms and responsibilities attached. They should not be forced to do anything of the sort against their will.

MessageThe Dorvik-Nazz Party concurs with the Maroon Party, asserting that the age of 18 is too high. While we support a strong educational system, we also admit that an extended time in the educational system may discourage many individuals from learning.
