Bill: Malivian Flag Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Malivian Labour Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 4464

Description[?]:

OOC: Malivia's current flag is the old flag of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, a real-life Caribbean country. This poses two issues. 1) That it verges on or actually violates Particracy's rules; 2) That Malivia deserves better - its own unique national flag.

IC: The Malivian Labour Party hereby proposes the adoption of a new national flag for Malivia. Green represents prosperity, humanity, earth and nature. Black represents our ancestors, those who gave their lives for our country and relatives which we mourn for. Yellow represent civic society and duty, as well as our commitment to liberal democracy. In the centre is the coat of arms of Malivia, representing two Malivian women wearing traditional dress and performing a traditional ceremony.

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI).

Random quote: "The true destiny of America is religious, not political: it is spiritual, not physical." - Alvin R. Dyer
