| Message | Mr. Speaker, The Social Democratic Party has long stood for the LGBT community in their struggles against oppression and discrimination, which they have unfortunately seen too much of throughout the world. Therefore, it is unconceivable that we could support an act that would financially limit many members from going through gender reassignment surgery, and becoming who they truly are. However, the SDP would be happy to support all other articles within this bill, and I plan to introduce a revised one soon.
