Beluzian Border Guard Act


Article i - Purpose

i) This act formally undertakes to enact, amend and reorganize, as necessary, the Beluzian Border Guard.


Article ii - Official Title and Purpose

i) The Beluzian Border Guard (BBG).
ii) The BBG is empowered by the Republic of Beluzia to;
ii-a) patrol and protect the land border of Beluzia
ii-b) protect Beluzia through internal points of entry such as airports and ports.
ii-c) prevent transnational crime.

Article iii - Motto

i) In defensionem regni -- (In defense of the Realm)


Article iv - Recruitment and Membership

i) Membership of the BBG is open to anyone over the age of 18.


Article v - Ranks, Pay and Command Structure

i) All members of the BBG are entitled to remuneration commensurate with their rank grade.


Article vi - Weaponry & Equipment

i) The Congress of Beluzia establishes the following;
i-a) Policy on the usage of drones and UAV's
ii) All other weapons and equipment are available to the BBG unless specified by Congress in RP laws.


Article vii - Key Staff

i) The BBG will be led by Chief Director
ii) The full title of this position shall be: Beluzian Border Guard Chief Director
iii) The position of Beluzian Border Guard Chief Director shall:
iii-a) oversee overall operations of the Organisation.
iii-b) be nominated by the Internal Affairs Minister
iii-c) if Internal Affairs Minister is unavailable the Prime Minister may nominate the Chief Director
iii-d) be subject to direct removal and replacement by the Prime Minister.
iii-e) is subject to no-confidence by a majority of Congress


Article viii - Confirmation

i) The Office of Chief Director is subject to Congressional confirmation.
ii) A majority of Congress is required to achieve confirmation.


Article ix - Finance and Oversight

i) The Beluzian Border Guard Force;
i-a) reports directly to the Internal Affairs Ministry
i-b) can coordinate activities with the Prime Ministers office and the Ministry of Justice
i-c) may share information with all other ministries and governmental authorities
ii) Congress shall have oversight of the Beluzian Border Guard regarding:
ii-a) Budget
ii-b) Operational constraints with regards to the laws of the Republic of Beluzia.


Article x - Security Clearance

i) Security Clearances are issued in grades with respect to rank of Beluzian Border Guard member.
ii) A non-transferable high level security clearance MAY be issued to BBG members upon confirmation allowing:
ii-a) access to highly sensitive information as necessary.
iii) Upon removal, retirement, incapacity or resignation the Security Clearance of any BBG member will be revoked immediately.


Article xi - Accordance & Amendment

i) Amendments to this document require a majority for approval.
ii) Any amendment made to this document will automatically override the previous version.
iii) This document is legally applicable to Beluzia until it is lapsed, amended or rejected.


Article xii - Oath of Office

i) All members of the Beluzian Border Guard are subject to the articles confirmed in the Oath of Office Act.


Article xiii - Officer in Charge

i) The Speaker of the Congress is hereby nominated to oversee that rules are followed.
