Message | This bill aims to make the peoples representatives more susceptiable towards corruption and coporate interests and lobbyists. The taxpayers pay us to represent them and not some coporate interestst. VR fraction |

Message | You can be corrupted no matter your salary, VR. You argue that having more government officials (even just one, or 25. No matter the number) Will waste people's tax money. It seems a lot like you're more for your own interests. YOU want more money and more power. Maybe... the salary is making the politician corrupt? |
Date | 15:29:45, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Faschistische Union | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | Yes, we are corrupt: We are corrupted by the people of this country who provide us with independence against special interests with a high salary, comparable to other top management positions across Solentia. Furthermore, it is not just one official more but every additional top job such as head of government of member of the Senat requieres extensive support staff like secretaries or deputies, meaning additional pressure for the people of this country who get up at 4 am or earlier to work hard, those at the production lines ore soliders out in the fields. Yes, we are proud to be corrupted by them to protect the taxpayers purse. VR fraction |

Message | How do you know that this will increase corruption, though? Every politician is different and not all will be corrupt when there's a salary reduction; while, others may already be corrupt. A lower salary can also help pinpoint on those who are corrupt by knowing that they have a lot more money entering their pocket than they're being paid. Message | We are talking about relativity and possibilities here: Low salaries increase the chances of someone becoming corrupt as money is the most important incentive to become corrupt. No one is saying that everyone is acting the same , but the probability of corruption will increase as people are mot tempted by the salaries of the private sector as opposed to their proposed little salary. Message | If a person is paid a lot of money, then they'll want more and more money. High salaries increase greed. Greed can increase corruption. If someone doesn't have a high salary, then they will not want extra money. Greed is a simple human concept, the more money you give a person, the more their greed will increase. Message | That is a simple fallacy: If a person has a lot of of money already, it is questionable whether it feels the need to earn a lot more money as opposed to a person that earns little. We have evidence that most robbers, thieves come from low-income households because they desperately want more money. Furthermore, as the salaries of the members of the Senat are being cut with this law, they will quickly need an additional source of funding which will most likely to be: corruption, because they cannot adapt their spending patterns fast enough. Message | You're saying that robbers and thieves come from low-income households. What I want is for the politicians to be paid the amount that the average Solentian citizen will get paid. The income will be more of a person on the border of middle and high income, not just high income. Alban Bahr and the Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei |
Date | 16:11:35, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Faschistische Union | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | The problem is that the members of this chamber receive a lot more offers for corrpution as they have much more power than the normal average citizen and a higher salary exactly responds to that. VR Fraction. |

Message | If we had more people in our Senate then corruption could be less severe due to the fact that we would have a more diverse government with more parties. Alban Bahr and the Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei |
Date | 16:24:50, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Faschistische Union | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | Corruption is no question of diversity and more members would mean a more anonymous atmosphere which fuels corruption. VR Fraction. |
Date | 16:25:50, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Faschistische Union | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | This bill is unbelievable irresponsible. The working people of this country are putting up the bill for this irresponsible spending. |
Date | 16:28:57, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | How is this bill irresponsible spending if it brings down salaries but increases the amount of Senators? The amount of spending would be a mediocre amount of an increase. Alban Bahr and the Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei |
Date | 16:29:59, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | Now, if your Radical-Right bill would pass you'd damage the economy by weakening the workforce. |
Date | 16:32:37, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Faschistische Union | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | The problem is that for every additional Senator at least 10 auxilary staff is needed such like secretaries, lawayers, advisors, deputies, administration etc. This is costing a lot more which would be better invested in schools, hospitals and roads. Additionally, as women have been allowed to work just a few months ago, the effect is only miniscule so the law will not have any effect either way. VR Fraction. |
Date | 16:40:16, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | Still.... women make up 51% of the average population; and, around 61% of people work in factories. So, we'd only have around 33% of our population in factories. And, a country can't work on that. |
Date | 16:42:51, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Nationalsozialistische Arbeiterpartei | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | Along with the fact that around 25% of the average population is able to work, that number will be MUCH much less. Maybe, we could have this bill be effective if you don't stop trying to make women unable to work. |

Message | This is a good bill it solves all the problems my bill had |
Date | 17:59:38, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Right Wing Nationalist Party | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | Now VR isn't the majority like they have been for YEARS... I've looked through history I've seen the amount of time he was in power. |
Date | 22:37:59, October 04, 2018 CET | From | Faschistische Union | To | Debating the Senate Reformation |
Message | We will abolish this as soon as possible. |
