Bill: OOC (RP): Ennobling of Nobles in the Empire
Details
Submitted by[?]: Hosian Democratic Union
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 4467
Description[?]:
The bill shall do the following: -Grant the Luthori Emperor the ability to remove all titles of nobility as well as grant them -Grant the Governor General the same privileges in this regard as the Luthori Emperor for all but landed titles -Allow the Diet to grant a title of nobility upon a 2/3rds majority (OOC: This is an actually important bill meant to establish some governing rules beyond word of mouth or canonized RP for an otherwise important aspect of the nation. Currently, the ennobling clause was only found in the wiki, but was removed as it had no basis since it was not an RP law but simply a reference page, open to all to edit. Under the current system (our constitution), it is solely up to the HOS to decide who grants the titles of nobility.) |

Message | OOC: The governor general should not have such powers. He exist to represent the monarch not rule like him. |

Message | OOC: That would for now empower the Governor General to do as he pleases until legislation is made, unless that becomes changed. |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
