WHEREAS people have the right to security; RECOGNIZING that the people want to live in certain community types; UNDERSTANDING that private sector control can lead to discrimination; It is hereby proposed that the ability to develop gated communities be removed from the private sector and put into the public sector. This will still allow for the much desired and cherished security, while moving to elimiate the discrimination that happens at the hands of the private sector. |
