MessageIn the previous cabinet proposal we were offered three Ministries, but now we are only being offered two so cannot support this cabinet. Why would a) we support a worse deal and; b) have 50% fewer Ministries than the Liberals despite only having 5 fewer seats than them?

MessageShould we start with the utter lack of support and therefore unity in the election, or the refusal to work with certain parties? You’ve brought this pain upon yourself. The current PSD and PL coalition government can serve us until the next election, but for now, the PS-D is preventing itself from getting a seat at the table.

MessageWhat do you mean regarding "utter lack of support and therefore unity in the election"? We fielded our own candidate for the position of Consul, yes - every party has the right to do so. However, our position was also to endorse the Democratic Socialist candidate if our candidate failed to make it to the second round (OOC: I can print screen for proof if you want, lol. This was and in fact remains our position, at least for now).

Furthermore, let me quote the Liberal Party. They said, "I would love the hear the arguments for this cabinet" in regard to your original cabinet proposal. They also said that "we share the view that a party without seats in the senate should not be a part of a cabinet" and "as i think everyone know, we stands quite far from the communists ideologically". So if you're accusing my party of a "refusal to work with certain parties" then this also applies to the Liberals as well.

The Social Democrats merely asked why in the original cabinet proposal we were offered three ministries, but in the second proposal only two, despite the removal of the Communists. This question wasn't answered. It is a simple question and we would like some sort of justification of this and an explanation of why we should accept a worse deal.

Also, we are confused regarding the comment "you’ve brought this pain upon yourself". This implies that we were offered fewer seats this time on purpose, but why? Why do the Democratic Socialists seemingly dislike us when we have only tried to work with and support both the Democratic Socialist Party and the Liberals?

In fact, the Liberals have been communicative, informative and constructive towards our party. It is a shame for whatever reason the Democratic Socialists have taken a dislike towards us.

My party's only vision for this sitting was to work positively with the Democratic Socialists and Liberal Party and help to challenge extremist far-left and far-right parties. However, we will certainly not be talked down to, bullied or blackmailed, for that is the behaviour of the very extremists we seek to defeat.

Consequently, we wont be threatened into voting in favour of a worse deal and it is a shame that the Democratic Socialists have been so hostile and unobliging towards us. We can't even be accused of making unfair demands because all we are simply requesting is an equal offer to the previous proposal!

MessageWe will reconsider a proposal for a cabinet, but will not propose one until the PS-D has provided us with a PL- approved cabinet to take us through this sitting of the Sénat and beyond.

MessageThe first cabinet proposal made by your party would almost certainly pass if you gave trade and industry either to your own party or the Liberals. (OOC: http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=584354)

MessagePL is ready to go back to the former cabinet proposal, if the ministry if TaI (Trade and Industry) goes to PSD. We are happy with the seats we got.
