Message | We agree. A refugee is by definition someone who is the victim of extreme circumstances. |
Date | 02:57:41, June 08, 2005 CET | From | Democratic Socialists of Endralon | To | Debating the Immigration Reform |
Message | It is the aim of any socialist or communist to create an open society which is welcoming to all people regardless of their circumstances. We also aim to abolish any distinctions between nations and their citizens and the idea that any particular country has the right to restrict freedom of movement is totally incompatible with the struggle for socialism. |

Message | we agree DSE however we havent achieved that yet so I'm sure you accept the need for some minor restrictions which is why I think we should have a free and almost completely open immigration system and a refugee system that deals with refugees , not immigrants. |

Message | We certainly haven't achieved that yet and this bill, by restricting of movement, would take us even further from a socialist society. As I have said before their are no specific proposals on the immigration policy so we have to assume that the only people allowed in are those considered as refugees. |

Random fact: Players have a responsibility to differentiate between OOC (out-of-character) and IC (in-character) behaviour, and to make clear when they are communicating in OOC or IC terms. Since Particracy is a role-playing game, IC excesses are generally fine, but OOC attacks are not. However, players must not presume this convention permits them to harass a player with IC remarks that have a clear OOC context. |
