Bill: Law Enforcement Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Parti Socialiste de Canrille (PSdC)

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 4474

Description[?]:

Our police force has been lacking of proper equipment to deal with armed suspects in a way that is more in favour of the police. An electric shock weapon is not guaranteed to work one hundred percent of the time, nor will pepper spray be guaranteed to work without issue.

While non-lethal action is encouraged, it may be difficult to ensure the safety of the officers involved while doing so.

MessageThe PS-D may believe what they would like. It won't change the fact that it is not a radical reform - it is a sensible change. As a matter of fact, this will be the only change we plan to make towards the equipment law enforcement will be able to use.
