Message | While the KMDM wholeheartedly supports Article 3, our party firmly believes that essential religious symbols of Kamism are essential to the core of this nation's identity and civil servants should be able to wear them with pride and national esteem, and the right to step in the name of national unity would be for Sekouo to encourage, rather than discourage, teacher-led prayers in all public schools. Notwithstanding our support for Article 3, the KMDM has no choice but to oppose. - 桜井 美智雄、国民同盟党(KMDM)の総裁 |
Date | 21:54:20, October 26, 2018 CET | From | Jiyū Party of Sekouo (自由党) | To | Debating the Secularization Act |
Message | We vote no, because although those public officials work within the confines of the government they have the freedom to follow their religions and religious symbols. We don't think government should involve itself in prohibiting or supporting prayer in schools allowing schools to decide for themselves is best and more secular. And the problem with article 3 which is one we use to support until we remembered the time of Theocracy in this country that used that law to justify persecution of all religions different from there and the time of Communism when all religions faced persecution. Therefor we will oppose this bill. |
