| Agrippinan Law on the Currency Senators, In order to facilitate financial transactions and implement a currency more in line with our Republican values, we propose a renaming and revaluation of the national currency of the Republic. Under this proposal, the following measures shall be implemented: I. The Denarius (pl. Denarii) is introduced as the national currency and sole legal tender in the Republic. II. One Denarius shall be equivalent to one Nikan. III. The Denarius shall be symbolized by the abbreviation SED, and its symbol shall be 𐆖. In cases where the digital display of the symbol is not possible the Denarius can be represented by X̶ (OOC: or, on the wikia, by <s>X</s>). IV. One Denarius shall be subdivided into ten Sestertii (sg. Sestertius), whose symbol shall be 𐆘, or I̶I̶S̶ in cases where the digital display of the symbol is not possible (OOC: or, on the wikia, <s>IIS</s>). V. One Sestertius shall be subdivided into two and a half Asses (sg. As), whose symbol shall be ⌿ Titiana Agrippina Minister of Finance OOC: This is a constitutional RP Law, as governed by Section 6.e. of the Game Rules (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=8088). This bill implements a cosmetic change by officially renaming the Selucian currency from Nikan to Denarius. Since it is not possible to change the name of the currency in the game system, we need an RP Law for this. If this passes the name of the currency will change in RP but not in the actual game. |
