| Silvio Cattaneo, AR: "Mr Speaker, collegues, during the past term a greatly unfair reform was approved. We risk to find our youth in less than 20 or 30 years submerged by debts for their studies. This will progressively split our society between those who can afford superior education, those who will have to spend huge part of their working life to repay the loans for their superior education and those that would not be able to afford such expense. A Government should encourage the new generations to study, not to elevate barriers to do it. A fair way to improve and support our youngs on their studies, it's to consider the personal income of the students and adeguate the tuitions cost to their possibilities. Furthermore, I have just to say one thing: an educated and preparated people express an educated and preparated political class and an educated and preparated people have more possibility to contrasts the Governments acting against their interests. Finally, sorry but it is not at all acceptable to not have a national university system. Unacceptable! Universities are vital key institutions for a nation, for its knowledge, for its progress. We risk to see little and underfunded regional superior institutions and just private national institutions which is clearly another way to divide our society as expressed above. Thank you" |

| Message | Anna Verde, PND You are claiming, that less educated people are somehow worth less. The people are smart enough to know when the government acts in their interest or not! And these acts are clearly against their interest. Education should always be a regional matter on all stages and an advanced political education is simply unnecessary. Because why would someone who wants to be an engineer, mathematician or scientist have to work through "advanced" political education which wont bring him or her anything but resentment? Moreover, we are afraid that this will result in a liberal bias in academia which we strongly oppose. |
