| I'm looking to draft a cultural protocol for Gaduridos. I welcome feedback and will keep a draft in this bill. ------- In accordance with section 6 of the Game Rules (http://forum.particracy.net/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=6363#p90598), Gaduridos is a "culturally protected" nation. Below is the cultural protocol which all players in the nation must abide. Throughout the document, the real-life equivalent is shown in brackets next to the in-game name. --OVERVIEW-- Gaduridos is a culturally diverse nation. --ETHNICITY-- » Pensio (Hispanic)- 25% » Gaduri-Esinsundu (Afro-Caribbean)- 23% » Bentaran (Mixed race, primarily Hispanic and Afro-Caribbean)- 21% » Asli (West African)- 11% » Phra (Thai)- 7% » Indralan (Han Chinese)- 3% » Istalian (Italian)- 3% » Egelian (Spanish)- 2% » Other- 5% --RELIGION-- » Aurorian Patriarchal Church (Catholicism)- 37% » Ahmadism (Islam)- 27% » Irreligious- 10% » Daenism (Buddhism)- 8% » Esinsundu traditional beliefs (African syncretism/sprituality)- 7% » Society of Brethren (Quakerism)- 4% » Other- 7% --LANGUAGE-- Gaduridos does not have an official language. | Message | Religion is not nearly complete, I need to think about that a bit more and speak to some of the players who have been involved in controlling Terra's religious organisations to figure out what would be logical. It will also be influenced by the demographics we settle on, for example 7% Phra (Thai) would logically suggest somewhere around 7% Daenist (Buddhist). At present, the Third World nation Hanzen is defined as "Thai with Chinese colonial overlay". It's nearby so I think it's logical that any potentially persecuted class would at least attempt to migrate during the colonial rule. The country is still an absolute monarchy and Indrala is a monarchy too so there are present motives to justify a sizeable minority. It's also not unreasonable to suggest that there would be some degree of "ancient" migration (i.e. Phra people who lived in Gaduridos prior to the foundation of nation-states). Indrala and Talmoria are the only other nations with Phra minorities, 2% and 1% respectively). |

| Message | Ik that Mestizo may include a small portion of them and also the other category but, I feel like we should have more of an Italian presence. Since the forum describes us as being Spanish-Italian. So that should be around the % of Spanish. Or a bit higher since Hispanic people have quite a bit is Spanish origin and Mestizo would include more of them than Italian. There is a chance my logic is really off but, I'm just putting anything out there that may help this be a little better. |

| Message | I have added an Italian population. The problem I have with having a particularly sizeable Italian population is that we are so far away from Istalia and have almost no historical connection to the country that it would require an incredibly convoluted backstory to explain. |

| Message | Why would it force you out of the game? Without trying to be hostile, are you that Western-centric that you cannot role-play as another culture? I'm British but I don't always play in British nations (in fact I have never played in a British nation). If you really want an American nation, Baltusia is an exact clone of the USA at the minute, Likatonia is based on early US, Kalistan is approximately Californian and Hutori is a Canada/America/Australia hybrid. |

| Message | As I said earlier, it's really not very hard to adapt to a culture you weren't born into. All it means is changing your character names which, with the tools provided in the document, is totally painless. There is no political dimension to a cultural protocol, you don't need any knowledge of "Hispanic and Afro-Caribbean conservativism". I had no idea such concepts existed. |

| Message | Guys we need an official language. I have the means of doing so if anyone is interested in having an official canon language let me know because you just tell me what you want and I can have it to you easily within 15 min of seeing your requests. It comes preset with 4000 words, and I will work on making a google translate sort of thing so you don't have to consult a pdf or something, I can add any words you want using the preexisting 4000 and the etymology of the word you want to be translated. I think It might help further the RP experience. Idk tell me what you think |
