Message | Madam Speaker, Our caucus, as evidenced by our previous conduct, does not like war. We feel that war is necessary to prosecute for the defense of Baltusians only. As such, we cannot support the use of nuclear weapons for the purpose of victory - self-defense yes, but not victory. The use of such weaponry is a serious decision, indeed, and we fear allowing us to use such expediency will cheapen the decision. We also oppose any use of land mines. This is a convention near and dear to most democracies on Terra, one that makes sense given the potential problems for civilians both during after war with un-detonated land mines. As such, we are opposing this bill but would welcome our colleagues to propose a bill with Articles 1 and 3, that we would support. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
