MessageEven if we prohibit the sell of drugs people will find a way to get them so, we may as well allow them to be sold legally so it can be taxed.

MessageThe Progressives demonstrate a lack of understanding of the issues at play. As a society, we should not base our laws on whether or not they will be obeyed. If that were the case, why not simply legalise murder and rape since people will commit those acts even when they are illegal? Perhaps we could open up government-run murder centres and charge a fee to make some money of these peoples' immoral acts. The analogy highlights the absurdity of the argument and reminds us that as a legislative body, we have a duty to send a signal to the population about what is and is not acceptable. Drug usage is not acceptable.

MessageDrug usage in moderation is not bad at all and hurts no one (for the most part) while murder or rape in moderation is still bad and someone will always get hurt, you cannot compare the two. Our goal should be to educate people to do it in moderation not to just straight up outlaw it and open the gates for the black markets to grow. Its best to leave it legal and taxable so we can use the revenue from it to help run our nation.

MessageThe statement "drug usage is not bad at all and hurts no one" is an insult to those who have lost family members due to the scourge of hard drugs like heroin and cocaine. We urge the Conservatives to bring this bill to vote so that the victims of drug abuse can see which political parties in Gaduridos are willing to vote to prevent further tragedies like theirs.

MessageFamilies all over this nation have been ripped apart by overdoses and intoxicated driving. The cost of drug addiction to our economy is extremely high. We cannot bring back the victims of legal drugs, but we can reduce the numbers who pay the ultimate price for drugs.

MessageRegardless, it is a violation of human rights to ban drugs, while it is a poor choice, and DUI's and DWI's should be illegal. The government should not regulate what people consume, just like the government shouldn't regulate what people watch. Passing this law will bring this country one step closer to a dictatorship or total government control.

MessageWe have already issued a statement against the complete prohibition of drug use, as it does nothing to end drug use, but merely makes criminals out of the citizens of the nation.

MessageThe Gran Partido National completely misunderstood our statement, we did not say "drug usage is not bad at all and no one gets hurt", we said " drug usage in MODERATION is not bad at all and hurts no one". Furthermore same parties that speak so highly about liberty and individual freedoms are the same parties trying take away the people's freedoms to buy a certain thing with their hard earned money.

MessageLiberty and freedom have boundaries. We would never argue that people should be able to purchase other human beings, nuclear weapons or election results, for examples. Drugs, due to their extremely damaging impacts, fall into this same category.
