Bill: Free Market Promotion Bill

Details

Submitted by[?]: Libertarian-Socialist Coalition

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2203

Description[?]:

Do you support the free market? If we allow the economy to operate without excessive regulations, then competition within the economy will eventually lead to better, cheaper, more efficient services being provided.

Yet, for some reason, we have an outright BAN on Democratic Workers Councils running businesses.

Think about this for a second. If DWCs were economically unfeasible, then a company run by one would tank. But, if they prove to make companies stronger, more responsive to worker's concerns and ideas, then why not allow DWCs to run businesses?

While we don't necessarily advocate a return to the ways things used to be (ie promoting DWCs through tax breaks), we at least think that there's no logical reason to ban them outright.

Support the free market. Stop regulating an idea that could turn out to work.
