Bill: Investing in our Children Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Libertarian-Socialist Coalition
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 2203
Description[?]:
College is the best way to move up in the world, to learn skills that will lead to better jobs and a more skilled workforce in general. Yet, our government does nothing to promote higher education. We can do better. By allowing students from low-income families LOANS which they will pay back with interest, we can do wonders for our children and for our economy. What money we temporarily lose will be paid back handsomely in terms of economic strength (more educated workforce = better innovations = more competitive economy) as well as tax revenue (more education = better jobs = more tax revenue). In short, by investing in our children's future, we can make handsome dividends over the long run. Ask yourself if your party stands for education or for ignorance. |

Random fact: Moderation will not accept Cultural Protocol updates which introduce, on a significant scale, cultures which are likely to be insufficiently accessible to players. In particular, for all significant cultures in Particracy, it should be easy for players to access and use online resources to assist with language translation and the generation of character names. Moderation reserves the right to amend Cultural Protocols which are deemed to have introduced significant cultures that are not sufficiently accessible and which are not being actively role-played with. |
