Bill: Grand Coalition Proposal

Details

Submitted by[?]: Pnték Prsakij Prta (Phalangists)

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2203

Description[?]:

We realize that the parties differ in many areas, however, in the interests of forming a new government that holds a majority within Parliament, and within the interest of rewarding the three parties who received overwhelming support at the last general election, we propose this Cabinet. We have tried to make the split of posts as fair as possible, with an almost even split of prestigious and less prestigious posts.

We hope the Libertarians and FFYRTP support this cabinet.

MessageExcellent. However after looking through the legislation already in place, we are amazed at the total dominance of the free market in all affairs of state, but still, a government is needed.

MessageWe thought hard about this one, and we are saying no because it doesn't really increase our cabinet standing, and cuts our close allies the CBP out completely.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
