MessageAlthough we support the across-the-board reforms in terms of pensions, child benefits, we however can not accept Article two, as this ultimately would slash minimum income to those on the edge of poverty, effectively making them more susceptible to homelessness.

MessageMr Speaker

I feel your are in need, if you are poor if you are in a bad place. You will for example get welfare to aid you. However getting handouts just because you are a citizen makes no sense. Why give welfare to everyone, when they don't need it, thats no a "caring" welfare state, thats just welfare for the sake of welfare. Its more effective to give the help to those whom are in need of it. You don't do surgery on someone who has a cold, just for the sake of it.

The left is against a flat tax system, because its unfair. Because why should a millionare pay as much taxes as a nurse. But then why do the democrats support a inefficient and unjust flat "subsidy" welfare system just for breathing?

Senator William Osborne (R-NE)
