Message | While our party strongly favours Article 1, as abortion is necessary to preserve our Sekowan heritage and prevent us from being swamped with the offspring of low-income Secowannais and Orincos, our party unfortunately cannot support Article 2 as our party opposes the concept of dual or triple citizenship, believing national citizenship should be a mutually-exclusive matter. We also oppose Article 4 allowing individual local provinces to deal with illegal aliens as illegal aliens are a national threat, not a local one. A single provincial government taking a lax approach to illegal aliens threatens all other provinces with crime, communicable disease and drugs and the consequences of economic malaise. We also oppose Article 5 owing to our belief that our adult citizenry need to receive basic military training (BMT) in peacetime so that, in wartime, our reservist forces may be called upon to serve immediately without having to be trained before being deployed. To conduct BMT during wartime itself is far too late. For all these reasons, our party must regretfully oppose. If Article 1 were to be included in a separate Bill regarding reproductive freedoms and abortion access, our party will happily vote in favour. - 桜井 美智雄、国民同盟党の総裁 |
