Message | Our party understands that it is perhaps too soon to abolish the monarchy... instead, we will opt to use the government's surplus of the money to preserve the traditions associated with the emperor and his family. Even we think that an allowance of 700 SEK for them is too little. |
Date | 02:16:29, December 11, 2018 CET | From | 人民党 (Jinmintō) | To | Debating the Morigawabudget |
Message | Keep in mind, this does not eliminate the government surplus. |
Date | 02:28:16, December 11, 2018 CET | From | 立憲維新党 (Rikken Ishin-tō) | To | Debating the Morigawabudget |
Message | Our party would like to know why foreign affairs is being drastically reduced by 10,000%, as maintaining good relations with our allies is an integral role of this government. OOC: Head of Government is the Prime Minister, not the Imperial Family. The Imperial Family is the Head of State. |
Date | 02:35:25, December 11, 2018 CET | From | 人民党 (Jinmintō) | To | Debating the Morigawabudget |
Message | We would like to clarify even further: Prime Minister Morigawa is willing to give up his salary and drastically reduce those of his staffers so that the rest of the money can be sent to Emperor Ishida and his family. |
Date | 02:37:11, December 11, 2018 CET | From | 人民党 (Jinmintō) | To | Debating the Morigawabudget |
Message | We the Anti-Imperialist Party has always been an isolationist, anti-globalist party; this is why the people voted for our party. We do not need to be spending millions and millions of precious taxpayer money to greet foreign emissaries and to visit foreign countries as well. We will keep government spending in that sense to a minimum. |
Date | 11:34:13, December 11, 2018 CET | From | 国民同盟党 (Kokumin Dōmeitō) | To | Debating the Morigawabudget |
Message | Our party opposes this deal because of the huge cuts to Foreign Affairs and Defence, which would have a hugely-detrimental effect on our internal and external security, and we also refuse to approve the astronomical increase in spending for Health and Social Services without evidence that such increase is necessary, and which will increase the fiscal burden on future generations to have to continue paying for a bloated healthcare and welfare bureaucracy the necessity of which has not been demonstrated to our party's satisfaction. ー 石原 良吉、外務大臣、国民同盟党の幹事長 |

Random fact: Particracy allows you to establish an unelected head of state like a monarch or a president-for-life, but doing this is a bit of a process. First elect a candidate with the name "." to the Head of State position. Then change your law on the "Structure of the executive branch" to "The head of state is hereditary and symbolic; the head of government chairs the cabinet" and change the "formal title of the head of state" to how you want the new head of state's title and name to appear (eg. King Percy XVI). |
