Message | This cabinet has been created to place the 3 largest parties in government, and so they have been given positions proportionally, meaning that RA got six positions, the SUF got 4 and the AB got 3. I used a calculation to work out a number each party should get using 12 positions, and then awarded an extra position to RA due to them being botht he largest party and the head of state. |

Message | I am surprised that a Cabinet of the 3 largest parties in government is included and smaller parties are not given a say in the direction of this country. Government is not about who has the largest number of seats and the fact of being in power, it's about the policies and programs that a government can implement to empower the people and to improve their wellbeing |

Message | Smaller parties weren't include in this cabinet as it is only fair that the parties with the most votes should run the country. That's the whole point of elections. To create a government. Also, government is all about the power and the seats - these policies and programs that you mention wouldn't be able to be implemented unless politicians had the power to pass the bill through the chamber. Parties are formed with the goal of obtaining power, regardless of whether they will admit it or not. |

Message | How is it fair that smaller parties are not included in Cabinet and that it is fair for parties with most votes to run the country. Policies and programs can also be passed by small parties, not just big parties, ok? Also, the whole point of election is not to have a government that consists of parties with most votes. Smaller parties also have a mandate to represent. Is that democracy to you? Including people that have more seats rather than smaller parties that also have representation. Is democracy about including one group and excluding another? You should represent not only your own people, but 100% of the population. And also, the Cabinet proposal allows you to distribute seats to others, so I don't understand why you wouldn't include parties that were in Cabinet last term |

Message | The way it works in most democracies is that the parties with the most votes run the country, because they're the one's people voted for. That is the entire point of democracy. Excluding small parties from government doesn't exclude them from democracy - it just means that a disproportionate amount of power doesn't end up in the hands of those who the majority didn't vote for. Also smaller parties can only pass proposals with the support of larger parties, which really defeats the point of forming a government in the first place. Oh and don't try and make this about my people - over 2/3 of the cabinet posts are occupied by parties other than my own, so don't accuse me of trying to monopolise power. |

Message | Look, if I were in your position, I wouldn't expect a cabinet position, because democracies work on who has the largest number of votes. Also can I make it clear that as small parties you are not entitled to any cabinet posts - it is up to the winning parties whether they include you or not |
Date | 06:04:59, December 31, 2018 CET | From | Unsubmissive Beluzian Workers Party | To | Debating the Cabinet Proposal of April 4508 |
Message | Then perhaps you shouldn't be the one forming a Government, because last time, Radical Action included two small parties. Mine and United |

Message | Well, I don't think there is a problem with the current cabinet. We could propose a national unity cabinet, containing all parties (maybe excluding the National Synarchists) but it would give all parties involved at least one seat. |

Message | Yes but radical action was a party squarely on one side of the spectrum - I am in the centre and therefore aim to include a variety of views. I didn't intend on creating a cabinet where everyone rules because that defeats the point of elections. Also don't call me unsuitable to this just because I didn't let you in the cabinet |
