Details

Submitted by[?]: Hsnutszlk'aikék Grundnyr

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 4521

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

I stand here as your monarch in a divided Grand Council. For two years I have mulled this over. For three years one side has been telling me one thing and the other side has been telling me another thing. But after a visit from my last living Uncle everything has become clear to me. To protect the integrity and stability of the Kingdom of Vanuku I am forced to enact my only political privilege that I hold as King.

As of right now I am enacting the Royal Veto regarding the law passed by the New Royal Front that named the patriarch of the Zhtál-Merlkai family the Chief Advisor to my position. This law will be repealed as soon as possible.

Thank you.

Wrntukai VI,
Wrnúke Konz

MessageMembers of the Grand Council,

By not supporting this bill, which has been passed democratically by The Grand Council, and by wielding his veto, the King has regretfully over-reached his authority granted under the Semi-Constitutional Monarchy Act.

The government believe the articles of the bill do not threaten the Vanukean people or threaten the country internationally and have assurances from the Supreme Court that this is the case.

Given His Majesty's wise choices during his reign up until now, and given that His Majesty would, under normal circumstances, not take any steps to create a constitutional crisis which would harm his realm, we can only assume intolerable pressure has been put upon him by members of his own family to come to this decision.

Therefore, before we can consent to the overturn of this bill, we must seek assurances from His Majesty and indeed the grandees of the Banmek-Sntazed household that this intolerable pressure ends now.

So, this government asks that the following be accepted and agreed to by both the Houses of Banmek-Sntazed and Zhtál-Merlkai:

1 - Prince Juhn Banmek-Sntazed, nephew of the late Queen Mrjmai and leader of the Movement of Discontent, renounces any claim to the throne and he, his descendants and other scions of the House of Banmek-Sntazed  throw full and unswerving support behind the current Archduke of Banstill and King Wrntukai VI's son (Prince Juhn).

2 - In turn and in time, when Archduke Juhn ascends the throne, his first child Princess Agzé will be named as the heir apparent and will on the passing of her father ascend to the throne as Queen Agzé Banmek-Sntazed with the full approval of both the Houses of Banmek-Sntazed and Zhtál-Merlkai.

3 - In turn, and in time, when Princess Agzé ascends to the throne her first child, Prince Temrkai Sigzma, from her marriage with Duke Jebr Zhtál of Vrzkel will be named heir apparent and on the passing of his mother will ascend to the throne as the first in a new cadet branch representing the harmonious conjoining of the two aristocratic families.

4 - He will be named King Temrkai-Sigzma I, of the House of Banmek-Sntazed-Zhtál with the full approval and unswerving support of both Houses. Henceforth the dynasty will be known as Banmek-Sntazed-Zhtál and his progeny shall bear that name.

If the above accord is agreed to we will, as a government, see it passed into constitutional law and then will consent to apply the Royal Veto to the Chief Advisor role legislation.

Baron Dnkai Könnyrahe
Prefect of Vanuku
