Bill: Prefect Resigns - Snap Election Called

Details

Submitted by[?]: Zhtál-Merlkai Tjarziprta

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill requests an early election. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline. Elections will be held immediately if the bill passes.

Voting deadline: October 4514

Description[?]:

Members of the Grand Council,

With regret and given that the King refuses to back three of my bills, as well as the level of growing discontent in the country, I feel I have no option but to resign. I call for immediate elections so that a new government can be elected that represents the people. I only hope they will continue to back the right path, the rightful line of succession and maintain the position which keeps the communists and radical socialists at bay and prevents non elected scions of noble families from ruling this country from behind the throne. I have tried... but failed to push this nation closer towards a constitutional monarchy - now it is someone else's turn. Good luck.

General Andrj Ksparsrmko Zhtál
Prefect of Vanuku

Random fact: Any RP law granting extraordinary "emergency powers" or dictator-like powers to a government must be passed by at least a 2/3rds majority, but (like all RP laws) may always be overturned by a simple majority vote of the legislature.
