Message | Well at the very least there would be two lying indoctrinating voices, rather than just one. We are merely trying to increase the levels of media, wouldn't it be nice to hear the news from someone who isn't trying to sell you something? Wouldn't it be nice if you could watch the news and not have to think if they have suppressed stories so their advertisers wouldn't back out? For once could we have someone reporting the news who only has an interest in reporting the news. These media outlets are independent from the government. It just gives people without the necessary means to own a radio channel the chance to broadcast their views. |

Message | MIP "No, the media is not independent. Currently we have unregulated private media whose only concern is for themselves." To say the media is independent means that it is independent from government. |

Message | OK, they are independent from the government but they have their own interests, with other laws in this country they have the power to say anything they want, even if they know it is false, there is no regulation and we need another voice. |

Message | You say that as if there is only one private television and media corporation, but of course there is not, there are competing media channels for different audiences from news oriented toward the political left and right, to documentaries. Whereas under government control there would be only one view, not competing views. |

Message | We do not think that there is only one television channel, sorry for that misunderstanding, but we do feel that all private media has its own motivations besides serving the public which could conflict with what is best for the country. We do not propose a single channel under state control, what we propose is independent from the government. |
