MessageThe existing situation does not state that lawsuits will be successful, only that a suit can be brought even if the statement is true. For example, if you stated that I no longer beat my wife, that is true but libelous in the implication that I once did so. Under the current situation, I can bring suit against you; in the case you propose, I could not.

MessageWell, if you no longer do, how would it be a problem? After all, the question is null and void because the printed material contains up to daye material with the relevant information and truth. And, if you have reformed, how is it a bad thing? There is no proof that you're doing it any more. Plus, in what context are you beating your wife? Are you physically beating her, sexually, mentally, or are you just beating her at various games and little mind things humans like to do? I mean, the sentence you're calling into question, without further proof is open to interpretation and your whining makes you appear thick skinned because of the nature of the language and the various ways in which the word can be interpretted.

MessageI'm alittle worried by this angle the PRP seems to be taking... a kind of 'if you've nothing to hide, you won't mind' approach.

So much for civil liberty.

MessageNo, we're merely saying that this person is taking a simple statement out of context, unless they can prove that there is some level of falseness to the statement. The problem is that just by picking a single line, they forget that the meaning may be lost because not all the information is there.

MessageAnd, if the case has no merit, they won't win. But that should be for courts to decide... not politicians.

Random fact: When you join the game, you will find yourself with only zero seats. That's because your party's representatives haven't been elected yet. You need to establish your party's position on issues by proposing several bills that your party wants passed and sending them to vote. This raises your visibility and if you do it enough, you will win seats at the next election.
