Bill: Immediate Protection Act of October 4521
Details
Submitted by[?]: Lodamese Communist Unity Party (B)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: November 4522
Description[?]:
RECOGNIZING the profound danger of the traitorous coup by the National Liberal Party (which re-organized itself into the 'Military Junta') in an attempt to oust an important member of the National-Democratic Alliance which took power from the LDA in the extraordinary 4519 elections, BELIEVING that the very nature of our revolution is at stake due to the Military Junta's profound connection to the old regime's generals and most loyal officers, REALIZING that the military of Lodanum has been disintegrated, The Socialist Rejuvenation Front (RA-PWSUP) presents this bill: SECTION I. Start the process of re-organizing the democratically elected self-defense units of the people's communes into several official military units, directly under the control of the current Executive, President Bravo, and administered by the Provisional Defense Commissariat of the National-Democratic Alliance. These units have been necessary to repelling brigades of counter-revolutionary gangs in their several attempts at intimidating those who have taken up the job of organizing local communal councils. SECTION II. Militias elected by local councils, defective military personnel, and other combatants will be encouraged to enlist into: a. The People's Militia of Lodanum, with appointed commanders from the organized Communal Districts and entitled to funding and administration under the Provisional Defense Commissariat, with the job of carrying out court orders from the revolutionary tribunals and people's courts, carrying out police actions, defending against abuse upon those carrying out democratization of the means of production, and engaging enemies of the state within the border SECTION III. Purging the Ministry of Defense of collaborators with the Junta under an ad-hoc Investigations Bureau between the new MoD and MoIA strata. OOC: Considering the LWA was ousted and Dino was put in, who then decided to try and coup the government, this is just basically an RP change in administration. I would think that most of us would support the new government over the reactionary right-wing coup. |

Message | Mr. Speaker, EAPP would come along with an even more radical legalization of political paramilitary organizations, but would probably suggest to keep the appointment of the then-reduced all-national army the job of the professionals in the Ministry of Defence or maybe through test in the field of battle through a system of battlefield commission. With paramilitary units, our defence capabilities would already have a revolutionary-political dimension, it's probably prudent to keep the remaining armed forces at least nominally independent and apolitical-in-context. Message | Mr. Speaker, someone is seeing ghosts here. What I can assure to Presidium is that we will be surprised if we decide to step out of the military pact we have with Istalia. Some idiot has decided to propose the withdrawal of that treaty. I hope you all understand the potential danger that lies within that decision. Frank Mortelé LWA |

Message | Me and my comrades approve this proposal on the Basis of it being a possible stepping Stone for further de-militarization of Lodamun. Additionally, the Control of the Government over the Army is weakened. |

Message | The new changes to this proposal make it unacceptable for my comrades, as it would achieve a total militarization of society in the form of paramilitaries... |
