This bill proposes that police will be armed with standard firearms. Police put their lives on the line when the enforce the law, and, if they can't carry standard firearms, stopping an armed criminal can become extremely difficult. |

Message | They do not require standard firearms to uphold the law. They are armed with non-lethal weaponry and should it become necessary to use more firepower then they can call in specially trained units. Arming the Police merely increases social tension and does nothing to reduce crime rates. |

Message | You seem to be under the mistaken belief that the Police officers aren't armed, but they are. The only difference is that the current armaments are not designed to kill but incapacitate thusly allowing the police to do their job, which is uphold the law, without as big a risk of them becoming the means of carrying out "justice". |
