MessageWe also agree with the motion, but have to vote against as we find the wording suspect.

Namely, the verse "Still our rugged pathway trace" seems to directly refer to the verse before it ("Though thy mighty hand sustain us"), as it asks for God's "mighty hand" to trace a path for us. It thus makes no sense in the new version, as we obviously can't ask ourselves to trace a path for ourselves.
