Bill: 1st Acts of Dominion

Details

Submitted by[?]: Hosian'skaya Respublikanskaya Partiya

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 4527

Description[?]:

Like the Defense of Faith Act, this is mostly to establish the party's position on key issues within our great Motherland, though we do encourage current legislators to pass this act.

While a strong border is certainly necessary in these dangerous times, we have a duty to understand the need to some individuals to seek shelter and refuge, by the categorical imperative. An individual or a state can't claim to be moral while not abiding by the maxim that one ought to treat people as they would treat humanity, and as if their actions were universal law. Therefore, we would like to allow limited immigration into the Trigunian Federation.

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.

Random quote: "Capitalism is the astounding belief that the most wickedest of men will do the most wickedest of things for the greatest good of everyone." - John Maynard Keynes
