Message | Our proud Metzist nation has operated under moderate judicial laws that allow for a fair court system, a modest policy on freedom of information, and upholding a person's right to privacy, unless it is in dire need of revoking (such in criminal cases). Our party also believes in moderate weapon legislation, allowing for private ownership of weaponry by the workers so that they may defend themselves, but also enacting some regulations to ensure a safe nation. The laws proposed before this legislature today are vile—The measures outlined within them downright oppressive, indicative of authoritarian systems that nearly tore our nation apart. While significant portions of industry and the media are operated by the state, we balance such acts with a strong guarantee of personal freedom to all of our citizens. This is a clear destruction of those fundamental rights, genossen. And as such, we vote no on this proposal. Perhaps it may be time to remove the Nationale Partei from the governing coalition. It is clear to not only myself but those around me that they clearly wish to turn our Metzist system into something more oppressive, indicative of some of the more harsher systems that have wished to secure the goals that we are clearly achieving without such measures. Message | We, the Nationale Partei, seeing the tendencies of the Volkspartei to support a weak and unstable state and government, and their feminization of those parties that wish to strengthen the state, declare the disgraceful vermin of that Partei anti-communist,anti-socialist and pro-capitalist for supporting substantial private business. |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
