| Message | Environmentally-friendly fuel is less efficient and more expensive. If everybody is forced to rely on it, many people will not be able to afford to drive their cars. The existing policy of encouraging environmentally-friendly fuel through tax subsidies and cutting car use through encouraging collective travel is much less heavy-handed, much fairer and much more effective than the policy now being proposed.
