MessageMr. Speaker,

We support the NPP in their ambition to reduce public spending and taxation. However, the proposals put forward here are not the way to do it. In particular, we could not contemplate reducing how defence budget so drastically, at a time when the geo-political situation indicates we should be increasing it.
