Bill: On The Subject Of Mayoral Election

Details

Submitted by[?]: Humanist Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: February 4551

Description[?]:

We believe that democracy is the best way for our people to determine the course of their nation, currently however the laws surrounding the electing of mayors is nonuniform throughout our nation and subject to the whims of local government who may decide to do whatever they wish.
We don't believe this is in the best interests of our people and therefor propose the following change;

1.) The appointment of all mayors is to be determined by a local election open to all citizens living in that area.

We consider this a positive change which gives more control to the people, allowing them to take charge of their country and its policies.

MessageWe agree with the humanists. We believe the FU should step down as Government, they are unable to even propose a full cabinet of ministers to deal with the problems the government is currently facing. Instead they provide excessive funding for military and completely leave every other department fail.

Head of DCP Government.
