Message | Mr. Speaker If I can point out a few issues with their budget, and we'll start with the HoG/HoS budget alone. The HoG/HoS budget isn't just for their personal salaries. It also covers the salaries of their staff, to which they have vast and spawling offices; the Office of the President of the Federal Republic and the Prime Minister's Office are two of the largest and most important governmental departments in the government. It takes care of their upkeep for their residences, the salaries of the staff, their protection details, and in effect the entire bureaucracy that surrounds them. It is not even slightly viable to slash that budget to that extreme. There are far more examples, but we need to go into detail on each budgetary item, for which if the Senate permits, we would more then willing to go through line by line.
