Message | In ordinary session, the Budget Committee has decided that we had certain funds that we could invest in certain aspects of our government. No budget was taken from any bracket, but we increased budget in vital aspects such as Defense, Education, Infrastructure and Health and Social Services. These changes we consulted with the following: - Secretary of Defense Raquel Murray - Secretary of Education and Culture Guadalupe Stokes - Secretary of Infrastructure and Transport Payge Harris - Secretary of Health and Social Services Jennifer Scott We also received reports and approval from the corresponding House Committees for these changes, in compliance with House procedural rules enforced by the House Administration Committee. Random fact: By default the head of government is the ultimate authority within a national government. In general terms, heads of government are expected to consult with cabinet colleagues (including those from other parties) before making significant decisions but they remain responsible for government action. |
