| Message | Mr. chairman I believe that religions should not be taxed because they do a lot of good in our communities by helping the poor and needy. Also their are many old churches that date back to the founding of our great country and they have a very small congregation and under the current law are having to pay the same taxes as big corporations. As a result many of these historic churches are having to close their doors, and buildings destroyed. I ask this committee to help preserve our history and culture. | Message | Mr. Glenn, we understand your concern and we hear it, but at the same there are churches and congregations that have huge margins of revenue, huge congregations and whose churches are, sometimes, bigger than stadiums.
