Bill: Turn Off The Government Light On Energy III

Details

Submitted by[?]: Capitalizt Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 2207

Description[?]:

The Energy market needs no government influence. If there's a good level of competition, the government should leave it to its business: give the best quality at the best price. Any uncareful price regulation attempt could destabilize the system. Leave citizens the full choice among the widest gamma of what the market offers.

MessageNo government interference allows for the loss of all competition. It is the inherent force of business to make as much money as possible. To this end mergers are the standard movement of any large business in order to maximise revenue. The limitations on choice that this leads to, rather than leaving the public with a wide choice of operators, actually leaves the choice as being very limited, if any at all. Currently the government is able to stop monopolistic private operators from charging prices that provide a poor return for the public however the change proposed would remove this ability allowing private businesses to charge whatever price they wish.
Passing this would be very bad for Hobrazian citizenry and damage the competition of private companies as a whole, which can only be bad for the Country.
