| ARTICLE I This Act establishes the Région Métropolitaine de Eroncourt | Eroncourt Metropolitan Authority (RME).The RME will usurp all current administrative functions of the governments of Eroncourt. The RME is also granted further functions through national legislation devolving further duties to municipal or regional governments, including but not limited to CNCU-38 and CNCU-39 (Local Authorities Act). The RME will be governed by an executive branch and a council which holds budgetary power and oversight over the policies and administration of the city. The Mayor of Eroncourt (Maire) will be elected popularly by all citizens under the same arrangements as existing municipal elections as does the Metropolitan Council of Eroncourt | Conseil Métropolitain de Eroncourt (CME). The Council will be made up of ONE elected representatives from each city district, as well as TEN members elected by proportional representation across the entire Metropolitan Region. |
