Bill: Higher Education Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Freedom Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: November 2066

Description[?]:

This will establish that the government will at the present time set about establishing and maintaining a system of universities, vocational schools, and colleges nationwide.

Due to the cost of higher education on families and recognising that it may put off those without the means to pay, the government subsidizes tuition only for students from families classified as low-income or poor.

Random fact: Characters are considered to be "owned" by the player who first mentioned or created them. In practice, players may share responsibility for role-playing a character, but ultimate authority rests with the owner.

Random quote: "The moral justification of capitalism does not lie in the altruist claim that it represents the best way to achieve 'the common good.' It is true that capitalism does, if that catch-phrase has any meaning, but this is merely a secondary consequence. The moral justification for capitalism lies in the fact that it is the only system consonant with man's rational nature, that it protects man's survival qua man, and that its ruling principle is justice." - Ayn Rand
