Bill: Axis Mundi Revolution - Power to The People!
Details
Submitted by[?]: Commonwealth Workers Army
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 2207
Description[?]:
The Axis Mundi Revolution seeks to overthrow the work done by the previous leadership. Power to The People! The Axis Mundi Revolution includes a few elements in this Bill, to address the recent violence in Hukatai province that led to the Axis Mundi PSS feeling it was too unsafe in that province, to attend the Convocation for an entire term (2203-2206). This is a three-pronged initiative, designed to lessen the risk, and confront the insurgent elements in Hukatai prefecture. 1) The AM Revolution recommends that we consider relocating the centre of government, to St. Vodinsburg, Sorbanika. 2) The AM Revolution recommends that we temporarily allow police the right to disperse a crowd, if they have reason to believe trouble may follow, otherwise. 3) The AM Revolution recommends that there by no 'hidden carry' law in the immediate future. We recommend, instead, that, where weapons are allowed, they MUST be displayed openly. Other than that, the AM Revolution has a number of recommendations to place the Power back in the hands of The People. |

Message | Sneaking in the capital change that you couldn't manage to pass on its own is underhanded. |
Date | 04:41:37, March 29, 2006 CET | From | Proletariat Revolution Party | To | Debating the Axis Mundi Revolution - Power to The People! |
Message | I find this... disgusting! Too bad you didn't remove that capital city relocation clause.... it's just a darn shame... especially since you're trying to pass it when the biggest opponant to it has the majority of the seats. |

Message | The Capital Change can hardly be described as 'sneaking in'... after all, it is SPECIFICALLY mentioned as part of the three-pronged initiative IN the Bill language... the only 3 (of 15) of the Bill elements that are DETAILED in the description. Accusing the Axis Mundi Revolution of 'sneaking' just doesn't fit with any definition of that word that we can conjure. As a specific response to the Proletariait Revolution Party: We wish to see the capital relocated. We believe Hukatai is no longer safe, and we are NOT the only party that has such reservations. As a former 'majority' party, the Anakrousite faction is well aware of how difficult it CAN be to oppose such a behemoth, but we HAVE been beaten by coalition when WE were the 'biggest party'. Might does not ALWAYS equate to Right. And, maybe the Axis Mundi Revolution will fail to pass this legislation, this time. But we have been (in one form or another) an active party for more than a hundred years, continuously... and some of our initiatives have taken time to pass before. If nothing else, Anakrousites are a patient political force. |
