MessageMr Speaker,

Under current law, only "children" above the age of 14 may work and there are limitations on what minors can do and how long they can work. This bill would stop young people from gaining valuable part-time work experience while they complete their schooling, and allows them to earn some extra money.

Our party cannot support this bill.

Rt. Hon. Linda Philpot
MP for St. John's Centre
Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Hutori

OOC: also you do know that these bills will automatically go back to debate and you will have to restart the voting process again after the election right?

Message“Mr. Speaker,

To elevate the point, the law states that there are regular inspections and that young adults — I believe the law says they are 16 and 17 — can work 10 hours a week. They are called “first job” laborers.”

Message“Mr. Speaker,

We note as always that the Labour Party considers to whack a straw man rather than engage in real debate. This is the sad state their party is in.”
